TIPS ON HOW TO USE STENCILS

Using Royal Icing
Place the stencil directly on the cake or onto rolled out modelling paste. Pipe droplets of royal icing to help hold the stencil in place, then smear the soft peak royal icing using a scraper or pallet knife, evenly over the stencil. Gently remove the stencil.

Using Lustre Dusts
Place stencil on a cake and smear white vegetable fat over the exposed pattern, then using a soft brush, and dust with craft or lustre dust.

Using Chocolate
Spread melted chocolate over the stencil onto a hard chocolate surface but ensure the chocolate is NOT TOO hot, otherwise it will melt your chocolate base. peel back stencil and allow chocolate to cool.

Icing Sugar / Cocoa Powder
Spearingly dust through the stencil onto a un-iced cake top. The effect is awesome just with a light dusting.

Using Airbrushing
Secure stencil in place and spray.
